Torre dei Colombi, as it's name suggests, was a farmhouse with a dovecot. Today the house is restored to a high level and furnished with an element of contemporary design and comfort unusual in rental properties in Italy.
It is beautifully finished and offers all modern conveniences making it an ideal place for individuals, groups and families.
The villa is on a hill and enjoys a peaceful situation with stunning views over the local landscape, it stands in its own grounds of olive groves and gardens with terraces, and plenty of exterior spaces for dining or sitting quietly.
It has been recently refurbished and has comfortable furniture, a fully equipped modern style kitchen for contemporary living. There is a compendium of games, music systems, television with DVD, satellite, telephone and internet access.
Torre dei Colombi has 4/5 bedrooms, four bathrooms, a first floor living room with fireplace, downstairs sitting room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. Furthermore terraces which offer outdoor dining and sitting areas with wooden furniture extend the use of the house during fine weather.
The pool is 9 x 4 meter mosaic tiled with a travertine sun terrace, is provided with external shower room and laundry room, and can be heated on request. For this there is an additional charge.
The locality of the house within Tuscany makes it an ideal place from which to explore the local countryside by foot, bike or by car. There are thermal baths near by at Rapolano Terme (15 km) with various beauty treatments and relaxing cures.
Torre dei Colombi is ideally situated for day visits by car to Montepulciano (km 20), Siena (30 km), Cortona (km 35), Arezzo (55 km), San Gimignano (80 km), Florence (km 120), whilst the vineyards of southern Tuscany (Brunello and Nobile Montepulciano) and Chianti are an easy distance away.
The local small towns of Trequanda (4 km), Sinalunga (7 km), and Asciano (10 km) offer the closest grocery stores, banks, and local amenities, restaurants and pizzerias of differing levels.
Services: included in the service of the house is the maid three days a week who comes for room make up and light cleaning duties, there is also a weekly linen change, breakfast on request and pool towels. In addition extra help for laundry, cooking dinner, shopping and an arrival hamper and children's cots and highchairs are available if requested in advance.
There is also option of an arrival hamper. Someone is on the end of the phone for any additional queries and help to make the most of your holiday.
