Castel Nuovo is situated in the hills that surround Gubbio, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Umbria, is a typical Umbrian farm house dating from the eighteenth century, and has been completely restructured, without losing any of its characteristic charm.
The seven independent apartments are all comfortably and tastefully furnished. All have a cooker/over, fridge, and all necessary kitchen equipment, as well as TV. Some also have a fireplace built in traditional Umbrian style.
Warm and cosy in the winter, fresh and cool in the heat of the summer, all the apartments offer 'al fresco' eating arrangements, and are furnished in country style.
Perugia is half an hour by car, Assisi twenty minutes and Spoleto, Orvieto and Todi are all 1 hour away. Florence, Rome and the Adriatic Coast are roughly two hours by car.
Guests at Castel Nuovo can make the most of its close contact with the surrounding nature, as well as enjoying the use of its swimming pool, with solarium and night time lighting.
There is also approximately 10 hectares of park, woods and lawns, for you to enjoy a walk, or simply relax in the open air, and for the more adventurous we also offer mountain bike, for you to explore the unspoilt surrounding countryside.
Ping-pong, painting, and even painting courses (upon request) are available. Guests can also book shiatsu massage, and it is also possible to arrange guided tours of Gubbio.
Well equipped covered barbecues, with a fridge and kitchenette provide ‘al fresco’ eating possibilities, and there is a play area for children.
